Dear,

As the UN's Global Dialogue on AI governance (UNGD) approaches next week,
we would like to share with you some of the contributions we have been
working on:

   1.

   First, a blog post
   <https://www.dataprivacybr.org/en/data-privacy-brasil-participates-in-the-first-united-nations-global-dialogue-on-ai-governance/>
highlighting Data Privacy Brasil's priorities for the event. They are
structured around three themes: 1) Sustainability, highlighting the
collective right of access to information as a fundamental pillar for
advancing socio-environmental and technological justice; 2) Data
Governance, addressing the need for better alignment between this field
and human rights narratives; 3) AI Harms, regarding the recognition of
existing asymmetric impacts of AI on individuals, communities,
   institutions, and democratic processes.
   2.

   A joint priorities document
   <https://gdjf.globaldigitaljusticeforum.net/submission/what-southern-civil-society-wants-from-ai-governance/>,
produced by the Global South Alliance and the Global Digital Justice Forum,
which total around 60 members. Developed from the inputs of members of both
coalitions, the document highlights main issues related to AI governance,
from a Global South perspective. Therefore, it is constructed as a call for
the UNGD to deliver on a South-led AI paradigm, anchored in a vision of
rights-based development, respectful of planetary boundaries, and committed
to intergenerational justice and human rights.

We kindly invite you to read the documents and spread them in your networks.

Best,
