[globalsouthdata] Londa2025: Recently launched report highlights the state of Digital Rights and Inclusion in 29 countries in Africa

On April 15, 2026, Paradigm Initiative launched the 2025 Londa Report,
which captures the state of digital rights and digital inclusion across 29
countries in Central, East, North, Southern and West Africa. The report
presents developments and gaps in the reported countries and guides
reformative actions for duty bearers comprising African States, non-state
actors and the private sector, among others. The report is the joint effort
of PIN’s editorial team and researchers who dedicate time to monitoring,
documenting and reporting occurrences that maintain, raise or lower
countries' profiles regarding their digital rights and inclusion records.
The assessment of state performance is benchmarked against human rights
standards. The Londa Report addresses digital rights and digital inclusion,
assessing 12 indicators under The Score Index

Initiative as a tool for evaluating country compliance with regard to key
human rights elements. The indicators are inspired by the African
Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights’ Declaration of Principles on
Freedom of Expression and Access to Information in Africa (the
