Paradigm Initiative invites interested stakeholders to join us at the
United Nations General Assembly and at FIFAfrica.

*United Nations General Assembly*

   - Paradigm Initiative will host a Global South Dinner on* September 24,
   2026, from 6.30 pm,* on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General
   Assembly (UNGA) in New York, USA. This will be an opportunity to connect,
   consolidate a unified Global South agenda on AI, share challenges and
   experiences, necessitating the building of connections to advance digital
   rights. The dinner will discuss developments in AI based on the Paradigm
   Initiative's Global South Primer

*Forum on Internet Freedom on Africa*

   - Paradigm Initiative will join digital rights and inclusion
   stakeholders at this year’s Forum on Internet Freedom in Africa (FIFAfrica)
   . On *September 29, 2026,** at 2 pm EAT*, PIN will host a side event
   titled *Road to Geneva and New York* and invite interested stakeholders
   who will be attending FIFAfrica, to register for the session. The
   session will interrogate and seek insights into facial recognition
   procured without human rights impact assessments, systems bought to track
   misinformation, internet shutdowns, and economic disparity in the digital
   economy. The session asks four questions: *"What can this technology
   actually do? Who benefits, and who benefits first? Who was in the room when
   the standard was set? *and What redress exists when it goes wrong?"
